California

Florida

Pensacola -- Lupus Support Network is having its monthly Lupus/Fibromyalgia support group meeting on Saturday, Aug. 19, at Like Adult Home daycare in Pensacola at 2 p.m. The meetings are open to the general public and there is no charge for attending the meeting. Illinois

BELLEVILLE -- The Belleville Area Lupus Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 18th in the auditorium at Memorial Hospital, 4500 Memorial Drive, Belleville. The program will be "A Beginner's Guide to Disability Planning" by Gregory Oliphant, including current disability law and ways to plan. For information, call 397-6008.

JOLIET -- Lupus Foundation of American, IL Chapter, Joliet Support Group: 6:15 to 8 p.m. fourth Wednesdays, Provena Physical Rehab and Sports Injury Center, 2400 Glenwood Ave., Joliet. Michigan

ANN ARBOR -- Ann Arbor has a new lupie support group!  The first meeting will be held Sept. 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. at 2568 Packard Road, in the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living conference room.  The group's coordinator, Shemeka Hightower, said anyone who survived or suffers from a chronic disease is welcome to attend the meeting. New Mexico

CARLSBAD  — Summer Abdel-Megeed, M.D., an internal medicine physician with Pecos Valley Physician Group, invites patients in treatment for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or chronic fatigue syndrome to contact her office to form support groups for these conditions. For more information, call 628-1589.

North Carolina

Mooresville -- Susie Phillips has started a support group in the Lake Norman area for people with Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia and Lupus. Meetings are planned the third Friday of each month; September's meeting is at Davidson United Methodist Church. For details, call Phillips at 704-892-5569.

Oklahoma

DAVIS — South Central Oklahoma Lupus Support Group meets at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, at Church of Christ, 408 East Main Street in Davis. Anyone interested is welcome and encouraged to attend. There is no admittance charge.
